Lessons & Training

Dream Quest Stables has lesson programs for the beginning to the advanced Saddle seat and western rider. Lessons are tailored for each individual student. Care is taken to insure that students are selectively guided according to their personal riding goals, ability and progression.

New programs for 2009 include an Academy Program for beginning saddle seat show riders, “Ladies Only”, “Gentlemen Only” and our fun “and Horsey makes Three” class.

The Ladies and Gentlemen Only classes are evening sessions for adult students. Fun evenings riding under the stars in the lighted arena surrounded by the quiet desert. Your horse or ours.

“And Horsey Makes Three” is a lead line class designed for the youngest riders and a parent. The parent is taught to lead the horse while the youngster enjoys riding! A great way to introduce little ones to the joy of horseback riding while spending quality time together. Both Daddy's and Mommy's are encouraged to participate.

Equitation classes for the beginning Academy Rider, intermediate full suit rider through the advanced equitation performers are schooled with the blue ribbon in mind. We highly encourage our amateur and junior riders to ride their own horses in lessons and to also put in practice time. We do have lesson horses available for all levels of experience.

Long lining is a tremendous way to get you and your horses conditioned and in sync with one another while on the ground. An invaluable method of working a horse which is not commonly taught in a lesson program.

Driving a horse can be a fun experience for the entire family. Many adults prefer to drive rather than ride. Driving takes less time and physical ability to excel in than riding. It does take a bit of skill and experience, but most adults can successfully drive a horse during the first or second lesson. Driving horses come in all sizes and breeds from the tiny miniature horses to the big draft breeds. Driving can be a diverse as riding.
